WiP Wednesday

A couple of weeks ago, I talked about 3 baby quilts that I'm trying to finish by mid-September.  Well, I have the one that I posted about then basted and ready to quilt.  I've also got the second one basted and ready to quilt.

The third one is going to look just like this one, except in the green colorway.  I didn't have enough of the linen to piece the top for the third one, so I'm waiting for that.  These two quilt are going to be especially snuggly - linen on the top, flannel on the back!  I've never done a flannel back before, but I'm thinking I'm going to love it when it's done.  Oh, and the line of fabric I'm using for these two is Fox Trails by Doohikey Designs for Riley Blake.

Before I can finish any of these quilts, though, I have two birthday gifts to work on.  The first is for a friend.  I started a bag for her last year, but felt really unmotivated to finish it.  I just didn't like the design of it.  So I cut up what I had for the bag, and started working on the Zip Organizer from the book Zakka Style by Rashida Coleman-Hale.  This book is awesome, and I know this will not be the only project I do out of it!  Here's my progress on the organizer.

I was just using those two Kumari Garden prints for the bag that I ripped up, but when I decided to do the organizer, I wanted to add in a couple of fabrics.  The green and white polka dot from Cloud 9 and Robert Kaufman Quilter's Linen were perfect matches!

The second birthday gift I need to make is for my sister-in-law, but I'm not going to say anything else about that, because she might actually read this.
