Craft Room Progress!

So I have this room in my house.  I call it the "Room of Doom."  We moved into this house in September, and I basically haven't touched the room since.  It's going to be a guest room/craft room.  And our first "guests" are coming on Friday.  As in tomorrow.  It's my parents, and while they only live about an hour away, they're coming to watch the kids while the husband and I go to a Christmas party that might go kind of late.  So we suggested they sleepover.  Which means I have to get my butt in gear and get this room at least walkable.  Seriously, a couple of weeks ago, you couldn't even see the carpet!  Just ask the other Kelly.  I invited her over for lunch a while back, and accidentally left the door to the Room of Doom open, and she got a glimpse of the chaos.

It was horrible.

But it's getting better.

It will still be a while before the whole room is picture-worthy, but for now, I'm just trying to get it to where my parents can comfortably sleep there without the threat of them tripping over something or piles crashing down on them while they sleep.

One of my big accomplishments was getting all of my scraps from gallon zip lock bags to mason jars.  I love this idea, and I think the scraps look beautiful in the jars!  Last night, I cleared off a shelf of the fabric hutch, and put all the jars up.

You've probably already noticed below the shelf o' jars, just part of the mess that's left for me to deal with!  I need to get the non-scrap fabric folded and displayed nicely.  That's something that I'm not too concerned with at this point.  But yeah, I have a lot of folding in my future!

Anyways, the good thing about organizing my scraps is that I realized I have TOO MANY scraps!  So in the very near future, I'll be giving some away.  Stay tuned!
